Andrew Peter Harland married to Fiona who works at the Duchess Of Kent Hospice and they have two children, who went to Kidmore End Primary school (of which Andrew was a governor).
Andrew has stepped down after 20 years from his role as CEO of the charity Examination Officers Association which he founded. Prior to that, he had been Head of Geography at St Joseph’s in Reading and is still a member of the Royal Geographical Society in London, a fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, and a non executive director of a music awarding body focused on giving greater accessibility to all learners in the education system.
As part of his professional work, Andrew always taken an interest in local affairs and was part of the group that raised money through various events to build the Tokers Green play area. He is actively involved in the maintenance of the village pond, litter picking days, help run and host the village carol service group every year and the annual big lunch event in the summer.
