The Chiltern Conservation Board is launching a formal consultation for the Chilterns AONB Draft Management Plan 2019-2024, giving the public a chance to have their say and ensure that future generations continue to benefit from the special qualities the Chilterns AONB has to offer.

The plan has undergone a complete restructure over the past 10 months based on internal and external review and feedback. The new plan includes the key issues, objectives, policies and key actions that we have identified for the area for the next five years and beyond.

They particularly welcome your comments on their Vision and General Policies (pages 15-18 of the draft Plan), although any feedback you’re able to provide is welcome, for example:

  • Do you agree with the objectives, policies and key actions?
  • Do the objectives achieve the vision for the future of the Chilterns?
  • What more could we do to care for the AONB?
  • What could be done differently?
  • What is it that matters to you?

The consultation process will close on 31st December 2018.

Once the consultation has closed all responses will be taken into consideration and used to shape the final Management Plan and supporting documentation. The Plan will be published in Spring 2019.
